"We Rise by Lifting Others"

Distinguished members of the National Executive Council, esteemed members of the National Supreme Council, Zonal Governors, State Directors, Local Government Coordinators, Community Representatives, our Diaspora family, ladies and gentlemen:

It is with profound gratitude to God and a deep sense of responsibility that I address you today as the President of THE PILLARS.

Today, we are not merely establishing another organisation. We are building a movement of people committed to supporting one another, empowering communities, creating opportunities, and leaving a lasting legacy of service to humanity.

Why The Pillars?

A great structure cannot stand on one pillar alone. Every strong building depends on pillars working together, each carrying its share of the weight and contributing to the strength of the whole structure. This is the philosophy behind our name — THE PILLARS.

We believe that society becomes stronger when people stand for one another; when the privileged remember the vulnerable; when opportunities are shared; when knowledge is transferred; and when those who receive support today are empowered to support others tomorrow.

That is why our guiding principle remains: WE RISE BY LIFTING OTHERS.

Our Purpose

THE PILLARS exists to promote the welfare, unity, development, empowerment, and general well-being of Nigerians, both at home and in the Diaspora.

Our mission is to build bridges across communities, ethnic groups, religions, professions, generations, and geographical boundaries.

We may come from different states. We may speak different languages. We may practise different religions. We may live in different parts of the world. But within THE PILLARS, our diversity must become our strength rather than our division. We are united by a common desire to build a better future.

Our Commitment

Our organisation will focus on areas that can make meaningful differences in people's lives, including: Humanitarian Support, Economic Empowerment, Education, Welfare, Community Development, Capacity Building, and Sustainable Opportunities.

We want to help people move from dependency to self-reliance. We want to create opportunities for traders, artisans, farmers, entrepreneurs, professionals, young people, women, families, and vulnerable members of our communities.

However, empowerment must go beyond giving temporary assistance. True empowerment gives people the capacity to stand, grow and eventually become pillars for others.

Our Leadership Structure

For our vision to become reality, THE PILLARS must be built upon a strong and responsible leadership structure: National Executive Council → National Supreme Council → Zonal Governors → State Directors → Local Government Coordinators → Community Representatives.

Every level of leadership carries responsibility. Leadership in THE PILLARS must never be regarded merely as a title, privilege or opportunity for personal recognition. Leadership is service.

If you are entrusted with ten people, serve them faithfully. If you are entrusted with a community, develop that community. If you are entrusted with a state, unite that state. If you are entrusted with a zone, strengthen that zone. And if you are entrusted with national responsibility, remember that the interests of the people must come before personal interests.

Truth, Transparency and Accountability

THE PILLARS must be an organisation where integrity is not negotiable. We will not build our organisation on exploitation, deception or empty promises. Our commitment must remain firmly rooted in truth, transparency, accountability and compassion.

No member should be exploited in the name of THE PILLARS. No leader should use his or her position for personal enrichment at the expense of our members.

Our credibility will not be measured merely by the number of people who join us, but by the number of lives we positively transform and the integrity with which we conduct our affairs.

We Are One Family

To every member of THE PILLARS across Nigeria and in the Diaspora, I want you to understand something very important: You matter.

Whether you are a National Officer, Zonal Governor, State Director, Local Government Coordinator, Community Representative or an ordinary member, you are part of the structure we are building. A building does not ask which pillar is the most important. Every pillar has a responsibility to carry.

Therefore, we must reject unnecessary rivalry, discrimination, tribalism, religious intolerance and unhealthy competition. Where one succeeds, let us celebrate. Where one struggles, let us support. Where one falls, let us help him rise. Where opportunities emerge, let us create pathways for others. This is the spirit of THE PILLARS.

The Future Before Us

Distinguished members, what we are beginning today can become much greater than any one of us. The seed we plant today can become a mighty tree under which generations will find shelter.

Our ambition should not merely be to build an organisation that exists for a few years. We must build an institution that outlives its founders.

Positions will come and go. Titles will eventually change. Material possessions may pass away. But the lives we touch will become our legacy.

Let history remember THE PILLARS as an organisation that brought hope where there was despair, opportunity where there was limitation, unity where there was division, and empowerment where there was dependency.

My Pledge

As President of THE PILLARS, I pledge to serve this organisation with dedication, fairness, openness and respect for every member.

I cannot build THE PILLARS alone. The National Executive Council cannot build it alone. The National Supreme Council cannot build it alone. Our Zonal Governors and State Directors cannot build it alone. We need one another. That is precisely why we are called THE PILLARS.

Let us therefore put our hands together, combine our strengths, share our knowledge, open doors for one another and build something that future generations will be proud to inherit.

And wherever you go, remember this:

I AM NOT THE PILLARS.
YOU ARE NOT THE PILLARS.
WE ARE ALL THE PILLARS.

Together, we shall stand.
Together, we shall serve.
Together, we shall empower.
Together, we shall build.
And together, WE SHALL RISE BY LIFTING OTHERS.

May God bless every member of THE PILLARS.
May God bless our communities.
May God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Long live THE PILLARS!
Long live the Federal Republic of Nigeria!

Dr. G. M. Adeyeye

President, THE PILLARS
